Planteray Single Cask Trinidad Rum
Once Plantation Rum, we are now Planteray Rum. Still a family business and still championing the great terroirs of rum.
Elevate your rum collection with the Planteray Trinidad 2011 Single Cask, a rare and meticulously crafted spirit that highlights the unique character of Trinidadian rum. Distilled in 2011 and aged for over a decade, this limited single cask release captures the tropical soul of the Caribbean with a refined French twist.
After maturing in ex-bourbon casks in the warm climate of Trinidad, this rum journeys to France for an additional aging period in carefully selected Ferrand cognac casks—imparting subtle elegance and complexity. Bottled from a single cask, each bottle is a one-of-a-kind snapshot of time, climate, and craftsmanship.
Aged in Trinidad for 11 years in ex-Bourbon barrels, then for an additional 1 year and 3 months in Pierre Ferrand Cognac barrels in France, before finishing for 9 months in Kopke Porto casks.
Tasting Notes:
Nose: It starts with a very fruity profile of mango, citrus, quince with delicate notes of acacia honey and vanilla.
Palate: Rich and complex, it follows the nose with pineapple and peach, beeswax, toasted almond and butter with hints of ginger and cloves.
